NP231 is chain driven with an aluminum case & this kit fits the 1994 & later version with the 16mm/.628" wide input bearing.
The NP231J t-case uses 2 different size chains. It could have either the 1" or the 1.25" wide chain so verify which one you need before ordering.

94-On 2.5L & 4.0L Cherokee
94-95  4.0L Grand Cherokee
03-06  2.4L Wrangler
94-02  2.5L Wrangler
