  • Condition: Item is used but in outstanding condition both in performance and visual for the age. As with any vintage unit that is approximately 30 years old, it shows only slight wear from use and storage. Unit is being sold as-is but fully functional. Unit is 100% functional as intended. Truly and amazing sounding deck, very heavy!! Mint Condition for the age.

    Description

    This Nakamichi CR-1A is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B and C noise reduction, it was first sold by Nakamichi in 1988 with a recommended retail price of USD 5 and discontinued 2 years later in 1990.
    All heads, rollers, cleaned and demagnetized.  Amazing unit, one of the last solid built (Heavy) 2 - head decks at the end of the era.  These are a rare deck and highly sought after by audiophiles around the world due to their amazing sound and reproduction.  As seen in many of the pictures, there are only a few minor light nicks / scratches on the top rear section but not really noticeable. but nothing that will affect the beauty of this amazing sounding unit.  This is truly a beautiful unit mechanically & cosmetically in amazing shape for the age. The unit plays, RW & FF perfectly and records nicely with amazing detail.  The unit is pushing a little over 30 years old and with any older systems I need to sell them as-is, but this unit is in excellent mechanical condition and sounds amazing.
